A typical application of current transformers is the current control of heater bands or heating groups at extrusion systems, injection moulding machines or other machines where heating is an important parameter for product quality.
In case of a breakdown of the Solid-State-Relays, fuse or heater band failure, the control system (SPL) will detect the defect and will send an error message. In addition comfortable controllers are able to switch off the machine or single functions using a special program.
No external energy supply is needed for current transformers; transformers can be used with overstress
A possible breakdown of the heating system may lead to temperature fluctuations between setup and actual data.

The electronic board is integrated in the current transformer. Primary wiring leads through a hole in the transformer (please check hole diameter).
For measuring small currents, wind the wire several times through the hole.
